Saurabh Jain brings over 25 years of experience across the Indian credit markets, with deep expertise spanning securitization, structured finance, debt capital markets, and distressed debt. Before founding Vanja, he built his career at leading domestic and international institutions including Nomura, Deutsche Bank, Kotak, and ICICI Bank gaining a solid reputation.
Saurabh’s core strength lies in deal sourcing, underwriting, structuring, and syndication, backed by a deep command of the regulatory frameworks that govern credit products in India. Over the course of his career, he has cultivated relationships with a broad spectrum of investors: private sector banks, NBFCs, FPIs, foreign banks, alternative funds, mutual funds, family offices, private wealth firms, and ARCs giving Vanja’s clients access to a genuinely diverse investor base.
He holds an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and is a rank-holder Chartered Accountant.
Gaurav Shukla, Managing Director and Partner
Gaurav Shukla has spent over 25 years in Indian financial services, building specialized expertise in securitization, acquisition finance, private credit, and cross-border structured finance. His advisory work spans a wide range of clients from MSMEs and large corporates to MNCs, conglomerates, and BFSI institutions, helping them navigate complex asset and liability decisions.
Prior to joining Vanja, Gaurav held senior leadership roles at Standard Chartered, Credit Suisse (UBS), Kotak, and ICICI Bank, where he developed a deep and lasting network across the BFSI industry, relationships that continue to shape how Vanja structures and places transactions today.
He holds an MBA from ISB and is a rank-holder Chartered Accountant.
